From 2009 - 2013, I read and reviewed the Silver Age of Marvel Comics, starting with The Fantastic Four #1 in 1961 and going forward.
In 2017 I began critiquing the latest releases from Marvel Comics from the viewpoint of a new or lapsed reader. Can they tell stories with mass-audience appeal, like the visionary works they created in the 1960s? Or are the new stories only comprehensible to a dwindling cadre of hardcore fans?
